Terms & Conditions
Last updated 26 July 2026
These terms apply when you use NexaProva, an HSK mock-exam service operated by Hanzi Express, LLC. By creating an account or sitting an exam you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What NexaProva is
NexaProva provides practice exams modelled on the HSK 3.0 structure: the same sections, item types, timings, and one-shot listening as the official paper. Listening, reading, and the character-writing tasks are marked automatically. Open writing, translation, and speaking are marked by AI against the published rubric.
2. What NexaProva is not
NexaProva is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the official HSK examining bodies. Our papers are not official past papers, and sitting one does not register you for, or count towards, the real examination.
Scores are calibrated estimates, not official results. The real examination uses a scoring formula that is not published. A NexaProva score is our best honest estimate of how you would perform, and it does not guarantee any particular outcome on exam day.
3. Your account
You need a working email address to create an account, and you must give accurate details. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account. Accounts are personal — do not share or resell access.
Verifying your email lets us contact you about your account. You can sit exams and see your marked score without verifying.
4. Free use and subscriptions
A free mock exam is available at every level, without an account. On the free exam every closed question is marked and scored — that is the whole of Listening and Reading at HSK 1 to 6, and the closed questions of both at HSK 7-9. AI grading of the open answers is not included: paid plans add that, along with every written mock across all levels and papers that do not repeat questions you have seen. The plan that includes speaking adds the AI-graded oral test.
Your answers to the open tasks are kept with your account whether or not they have been graded, so a paper you sat before subscribing can be graded afterwards. Each paper is graded once; the marks it receives are final and are not re-run.
Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, in US dollars, before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly, as chosen — until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops the next renewal while leaving your access running to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-used periods unless the law where you live requires it.
We may change prices for future billing periods. Existing subscribers will be told by email before a change affects them.
5. AI grading
Open writing, translation, and speaking are marked by an AI model against the official rubric. AI marking is genuinely useful and genuinely imperfect: it can be inconsistent at the margins and it can be wrong. Treat its feedback as informed guidance, not as an authoritative mark.
Grading is charged per exam and runs once. Because a re-run would produce a different result and would bill again, an exam is graded a single time and the result is stored.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, bulk-download, republish, or resell our exam content;
- share an account, or use one account for multiple people;
- create accounts in bulk, or use disposable addresses to obtain repeated free grading;
- attempt to break, overload, or probe the service or its security;
- use the service unlawfully, or to upload unlawful or abusive content.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can.
7. Our content and yours
The exam content, question banks, audio, interface, and branding are owned by Hanzi Express, LLC and are licensed to you for your own study only.
What you write and record stays yours. You give us the licence needed to run the service: to store your responses, mark them, show them back to you, and send them to the processors described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability
We work to keep NexaProva available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, we will refund the unused part of that period.
9. Liability
NexaProva is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Hanzi Express, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for exam outcomes, missed opportunities, or decisions taken on the basis of a practice score. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and we will notify account holders by email of significant changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
Hanzi Express, LLC is incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States. These terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts sitting in Delaware have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
This does not take away rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live. If the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, or protections that cannot be contracted out of, those rights still apply.
